If so, you can adjust the float using screws or an adjustment lever and the problem will be fixed.

2. Unclog your drain

When you have a clogged drain, get a snake- a device you can buy at a hardware store- and insert the front end into the clogged drain. Push or snake the wiring down into the drain until you feel resistance, twist the device to grab the clog and pull it up.

3. Freshen up your disposal

Sometimes a disposal needs to be cleaned or freshened up. To do this, simply pour some baking soda down the drain and then add vinegar. As you remember from high school science class, these two components create a chemical reaction that will clean out and refreshen your drain.
